tudor black bay 41
- 41 mm steel case
- brown leather strap
TUDOR presents the aesthetic codes of its emblematic Black Bay on a new model with a 41-millimetre diameter, a slimmer middle case and fixed bezel in polished steel. Introduced at Baselworld 2017, this elegant, sporty watch captures the essence of Black Bay in a more formal version.
THE ESSENCEOF BLACK BAY
Like other models in the Black Bay family, the Black Bay 41 features a dial inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches produced during the 1950s in an elegant black lacquered version. It adopts the characteristic angular hands, known to collectors as snowflake, that appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Finally, the large winding crown, characteristic of the first generation of TUDOR divers’ watches waterproof to 200 metres (660 ft), is also presented on this new model.
A REDESIGNEDMIDDLE CASE
For its Black Bay 41 model, TUDOR has retained the overall shape of the watches in the Black Bay family, reworking them for a more formal look that is both elegant and sporty. In particular, the middle case has been redesigned and slimmed down to allow it to slip under a shirt cuff more easily. In the same spirit, the choice of a flat sapphire crystal—for the rest of the Black Bay family it is domed—flush with the fixed bezel in polished steel creates a minimalist effect.
A STEEL BRACELET, LEATHER STRAP,OR A FABRIC STRAP
The Black Bay 41 comes with the choice of a steel bracelet, a brown leather strap with steel folding clasp, or a black fabric strap. Made using the Jacquard technique, a traditional method achieved by a hundred-year-old family business from the St-Etienne region of France, this strap is one of TUDOR’s signature features.
