  • Winding crown

The winding crown is used to set the time to wind the watch if it has not been worn. The winding crown is screwed down onto the case to ensure water resistance. It must be fully tightened after each manipulation.

  • Seconds hand

    The hand indicating seconds.

  • Hour and minute hands

The hands on the watch indicating the time.

  • Bezel

The unidirectional rotatable bezel allows precise measurement of dive times. For safety, the bezel rotates in one direction only. It is deliberately harder to turn when the zero marker (triangle) is in the 12 o'clock position to avoid inadvertent rotation.

NEW DESIGN AND AESTHETIC

The new edition of the Black Bay 58 builds on the 2018 release and retains all the core design elements from TUDOR throughout the ages. The case design and overall aesthetic has been updated. At first glance it’s easy to see that the text on the dial has been reduced to two lines in line with TUDOR's Master Chronometer certified watches, but upon closer inspection you’ll notice pinched hands at the base and a new bezel and crown design.

  • The Manufacture Calibre MT5400-U that powers this Black Bay 58 displays the hour, minute and second functions. The movement is designed to ensure robustness, longevity, reliability and precision, as has a variable inertia balance, which is maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with a two-point fixation. Together with their non-magnetic silicon hairsprings, this Manufacture Calibre is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) with a performance that exceeds the standards set by this independent institute.

  • This edition of the Black Bay 58 retains all the core design elements from TUDOR throughout the ages and includes aesthetic notes from a prototype TUDOR Submariner ref. 79190 developed in the ‘90s. The watch boasted a brilliant burgundy dial with a matching bezel. It never saw production, but this design now lives on in the form of Black Bay 58.
